Wednesday 10 December May-Britt and Edvard Moser receive their Nobel Prizes in Physiology or Medicine for their discovery of grid cells in the medial entorhinal cortex, a region of the brain next to hippocampus. The grid cells provide the brain with an internal coordinate system essential for navigation.
You can watch the Nobel Prize Ceremony online at nobelprize.org (ceremony starts at 4.30 pm.)
At Campus Øya/St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim, it is possible to watch the Ceremony on the big screen in Kunnskapssenteret.
